Invoicing
Invoices that carry what a return needs
Tax invoices, proforma invoices, amendments, debit and credit notes.

The problem it solves
Tax worked out by hand
A rate typed at the bottom of an invoice is a rate somebody can get wrong, and whether a sale carries CGST and SGST or IGST depends on where the supply lands — easy to miss on an interstate sale.
Numbers with gaps and repeats
Invoice numbers kept in a spreadsheet drift: two people take the same number, the financial year turns mid-series, and a cancelled invoice leaves a hole nobody can explain.
What is still owed, and why
A part-payment, TDS the client withheld, an advance received last month and a credit note issued since all change what is owed. Kept in separate places, they never quite add up.
What it does
Continuous numbering
Numbering that stays continuous across a financial year
Tax from HSN and place of supply
Tax computed from HSN and place of supply, not from a rate someone typed
One balance, however it is settled
Payments, TDS withheld, advances and credit settling one balance
Notes linked to their invoice
Credit and debit notes linked to the invoice they amend
Who it is for
Companies and LLPs
Several GSTINs and bank accounts, each invoice issued from the right branch to the right client registration, and on the Enterprise plan an approval chain from staff to manager to finance.
Agencies, studios and firms
Invoices raised from a project's finished milestones and costs, so what was billed is ticked off the project and nothing is billed twice.
Freelancers and consultants
Tax invoices with the SAC code and GSTIN on them, the TDS a client withheld recorded against each one, and invoices in a foreign currency for clients abroad.
Proprietors and small businesses
Numbering that runs itself across the financial year, a bill of supply where nothing is taxed, and the balance on every invoice always current.
How it works
The document, with the tax worked out on it
Each line carries its own HSN or SAC code, and the split between CGST, SGST and IGST follows from the place of supply rather than from a rate typed at the bottom. The same fields are what the return is later assembled from.
| Item | HSN/SAC | Taxable value | CGST 9% | SGST 9% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Design retainer, August | 998314 | ₹45,000.00 | ₹4,050.00 | ₹4,050.00 |
| Photography, event | 998383 | ₹18,000.00 | ₹1,620.00 | ₹1,620.00 |
Taxable ₹63,000.00 · CGST ₹5,670.00 · SGST ₹5,670.00 · Total ₹74,340.00

Questions about invoicing
Which documents can I raise?
Tax invoices, proforma invoices, amendments, and credit and debit notes — each note linked to the invoice it amends.
How is the tax on a line decided?
From its HSN or SAC code and the place of supply, rather than a rate typed in by hand. That is what makes the return add up to the invoices.
What is on the invoice PDF?
The HSN or SAC code per line, the split between CGST, SGST and IGST, the place of supply, and your organisation's own details and GSTIN.
How do I correct an invoice a client already has?
With a credit or debit note against it. The note stays linked to the invoice it amends, which is what a return and an auditor both expect.
Does it do e-invoicing and generate an IRN?
No. Nothing here connects to the IRP or produces an IRN. The invoice holds the GSTINs, HSN codes and place of supply an e-invoice is built from, but generating one happens outside Invovibe.
Do you email invoices or send payment reminders?
No. You share the PDF, and nothing here contacts your customer on your behalf.
