Annual return
GSTR-9 for 2026-27 is due by 31 December 2027.
Monthly or quarterly
A business with an aggregate turnover up to ₹5 crore can choose the QRMP scheme: returns each quarter, tax paid each month. Everyone else, and anyone who does not choose it, files every month.
Why GSTR-3B has two quarterly dates
For quarterly filers, Rule 61 of the CGST Rules sets the GSTR-3B date by the State of the principal place of business: the 22nd for Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep; the 24th for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Chandigarh and Delhi.
IFF and PMT-06 in the first two months
A quarterly filer may upload invoices to registered buyers through the Invoice Furnishing Facility from the 1st to the 13th of the next month, up to ₹50 lakh a month, so those buyers get their credit sooner — it is optional. The tax for those months is paid by the 25th in PMT-06.
When a date falls on a holiday
